10 Unexpected Item Upgrade Tips
Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades Upgrades to gear increase its base stats, and sometimes boosts its extras. The value of these upgrades is determined by the levels of gear, their requirements and how many random augmentations can be applied. The elite racial Shield Razortail for instance, is usually upgraded to improve its lightning absorption function in PvP and/or add additional defenses to missile-based designs in the PvM. This makes it more exchangeable over the unupgraded version. Reroll Tokens Reroll tokens allow you to reroll an item you have acquired like armor, weapon, or ring. The item is replaced with an identical item, but with different bonuses. Reroll tokens are an efficient method of upgrading equipment. However, they don't keep the quality of the original item, and any wasted resources aren't refunded. Survivors may acquire reroll tokens through several means such as the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be found in chests and crates or buy them at the market for $150 each. Reroll tokens can be used to change an attribute of an item, such as increasing its damage or giving it a new stat. Players can roll equipment with three categories: physical power, spell power, and health. Upgrades to physical power increase damage from weapons and melee attack and spell power boost mage attacks and the ring. Health upgrades give players an additional level of health. Three types of rerolls tokens are available: upgrade rare and legendary. Each upgrade takes an item to a higher quality, with the requirement of a higher-quality reroll token order to produce it. Upgrades with enhanced capabilities require a common item, rare upgrades require a unique or a legendary item, and legendary upgrades require three legendary items. The marker for rerolling, unlike special tokens or markers placed on action spaces remains on the space till the next success is to be rerolled. This helps to ensure that upgrades are not wasted. Blueprints appear as envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation Phase and can be opened by grabbing them using Interact. When they are opened, they display an image and description of the Ingredient or Appliance. The restaurant's store will swap blueprints for a new appliance or ingredient for a small amount. This means that you can move blueprints between the Staple Pool (which is the default pool) and the Non-staple Pool during a run. This changes the blueprints that the restaurant's shop has available to reroll, and those that are located in the Non-droppable Pool. Growthstones Weapons such as armor, weapons, and other accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These are special stones that can increase the level of an item by increasing its stats and attributes. They can be found by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the major towns. They can also purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants for a cost. Moreover, item upgrades can obtain these stones by completing daily contracts. To upgrade equipment to upgrade gear, players must first locate the item and then click the “level up button”. This will display a menu that shows the item's current status and what it will be after being upgraded, along with the required amount of Growth Stones to accomplish this. The number of Growth Stones needed to upgrade an item will depend on its rarity. Typically, rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, whereas rare armor requires just one blue or green Growth Stone. After choosing the item to upgrade the user must choose the number of Growth Stones that they want to purchase and pay the cost. When the requirements have been satisfied, the user can then click the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. The item will be raised in level by a certain percentage. Depending on the rarity of the item the upgrade process can take between seconds and minutes. The upgrade process also is risk-free and does not impact the durability of the item. This makes the system an excellent method for players to gain a significant advantage in combat without putting a strain on their bank accounts. Clicking on the “transfer tab”, players can also transfer the experience and progress of an upgraded item onto the new gear. The process of obtaining Growth Stones in Throne and Liberty can be daunting for new players. However, there are numerous ways to obtain them, including completing contracts and purchasing them from the Contract Coin Merchant, defeating Abyssal Contract enemies, obtaining them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book, or obtaining them from the reward chests of the Ancient Arena season. Additionally players can break down higher-level Growth Stones to create multiple lower-level ones. Leveling Leveling is an optional feature that allows players to increase the stats of their weapons, armor, helms, and trinkets. The Upgrade Station lets you combine an item with upgrade materials, and also pay a cost in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The upgrade materials will be consumed and the item will gain a higher level. This process can be repeated until the maximum level for an item is attained. Items with upgraded stats will have an icon of blue next to their slot. Unlike enchantments, however, upgrade components cannot be stacked with each other, but can only be added to a single item at one time. Furthermore each upgrade component will require a specific quantity of items to be used and an initial level for the equipment. The Upgrade Station is divided into two slots. On the left side, players can choose to add items to be upgraded. On the right, a preview shows what the gear will look like at its next level. Once players have enough materials, pressing the yellow arrow will start the upgrade process. A piece of gear can be upgraded up to five times. Each time it is upgraded the base stats of the item will be increased by a small amount. The highest level for an item is 19. Upgrade components are a type of equipment that can be slotted into weapons, armor trinkets, trinkets, or gathering tools to offer an added bonus or effect when the equipment is equipped. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, however doing so will destroy the previous upgrade, excluding for glyphs that can be removed and replaced freely. Requirements The upgrades to items allow players the ability to boost certain stats of armor and weapons that they currently own. The requirements to upgrade an item differ depending on the type of item, but you'll typically need Dilithium along with an amount of Upgrade tokens. The upgrade items can be slotted into equipment set pieces or weapons to provide added effects or a higher item level. These upgrades can be gotten from various sources in the game, including crafting, purchased from the Trading Post or karma vendors or looted from bosses or raids, or dropped from dungeons. Once an upgrade element is inserted into an item, it cannot be removed and replaced freely, however, the glyphs used in gathering tools can be swapped without restriction. Upgrades to an item can increase its Mark Level and/or Rarity. Some upgrade components also have additional modifiers that can increase the item's stats. The upgrade to the helm “Foundation of the Sun” For instance, increases the base defense and provides an additional 20 percent chance to block. In addition, the dps upgrade “Wildfire” increases weapon damage. Upgrades can be beneficial for certain items, but not because they increase stats. They are more valuable for the players when they achieve the perfect roll. For instance, a flawlessly rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly sought-after in the melee PvP community and could be worth 20-50x the non-upp'd version. The game will display the requirements when you select the upgrade component to be incorporated into the item. This includes the type of item (either weapon or armor) and the tier of that item, the upgrade Token required, as well as the amount of progress needed to complete the upgrade. The game will add an item in your inventory once you've fulfilled the requirements for an upgrade. The progress bar will then change to show you how far you are to getting the upgrade completed. You can also check the status of an upgrade by going to any upgrader NPC for the item you want to upgrade.
